In an orphaned community ravaged by centuries of civil war between humans and vampires, a once-famous warrior priest (Paul Bettany) lives on his own in an enclosed urban community ruled by his own church. Joining him on his dangerous quest are his former priest and friend (Lily Collins) with supernatural abilities. When the tragic death of a ruler occurs during a riot triggered by the turmoil and the ruler of the day falls victim to a vampire that is the primary threat to the lives of priests and all of humanity. Annabel Wishston is one of the few survivors of the initial outbreak, is back as the Countess. After marrying a wealthy merchant, she was raised in a family-like environment. She quickly rises up in society and forms close friendships with David (Barry Foster) and protects David from vampires that she doesn’t even know. In exchange for protection, David allows Annabel to live with him. Soon after, he joins her in the pursuit of the elusive Dracula. He knows he can’t win, and decides that it is time to fall in love with a new person or with the Lady Countess.
Annabel is soon joined by two new friends, Steve (John Loughlin) and Tommy (Eliaunder). They form the core of her vampire hunters, the Priests. Although she initially leads them due to her age as a young woman, soon she realizes that her family relationships will be more important to her while she pursues the enemy. We see women in support of Dracula and taking part in his hunt.
While the story is primarily centered on the relationship between the Priestess and Dracula, there are others that aren’t so evident. Priests assist the Priestess and help her fight off vampires. These are called the Walled Cities. These were cities that were secluded from the outside world and only had the assistance of an internal defense force created by the Priests. Priest ภาค 2 The Walled Cities were created to defend people from Dracula and other dangers.
In one scene from the movie the Priestess is seen giving instructions to the girls who help her in her mission. One of the instructions is to have them seek out and kill all vampires that are in their sights. The Priestess and the girls are buried when they are discovered dead, and their bodies are buried in the Walled City. The film cuts to fifteen years later, when the priestess is being interrogated by an investigator.
The film provides a second glimpse into the thoughts and emotions of priests in this time. They are distracted by their past as they try to describe what happened to them to the investigator. They express regret over the deaths of their own sisters and wish that they could have assisted the other in their deaths. The film gives a glimpse into how a vampire might see the world around them. It also shows the good and evil that was prevalent at the time.
The film was enjoyable to watch. It’s entertaining for old and young viewers. The acting was great and the story was well told , and the special effects were great. I would like to see this film, which is well-known for its excellent vampire movie and will be intrigued by the next film: “Priestess of Valerian”.
